August 2024  – Dr. Elizabeth Mobley was designated a Bulkamid Center of Excellence by Axonics, Inc. The designation recognizes Dr. Mobley for her expertise with Bulkamid, the quality of positive patient outcomes, and her commitment to improving the patient experience.

 

 

July 2023 – Dr. Elizabeth Mobley has helped lead Urology Austin to be designated an Axonics Center of Excellence by Axonics, Inc. The designation recognizes the Urology Austin team and specifically Dr. Mobley’s expertise with Axonics Therapy. Dr. Mobley and the UA team are staunchly committed to the quality of our patient outcomes and to improving the quality of life for patients suffering from debilitating bladder and bowel symptoms.

 

May 2019 – Urology Austin is pleased to announce that Dr. Elizabeth Mobley has achieved the UroLift Center of Excellence (COE) designation! UroLift is a minimally invasive treatment option for men with Benign Protastic Hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). Dr. Mobley has performed a large volume of UroLift procedures over several years, so chose to pursue Center of Excellence qualification. In doing so, she is the first female Urologist in Texas to receive COE status, and third worldwide. To accomplish this, Dr. Mobley was clinically proctored on the safe and effective use of UroLift to provide clinical excellence. Her key clinical staff also completed NeoTract’s Premier Patient Experience training.

December 2019 – Dr. Mobley became the first female Urologist in the United States to be named a NeoTract Faculty member. In this role she will consult with and proctor physicians from across the country on best practices when utilizing UroLift for BPH. She has also demonstrated UroLift Clinical Excellence by collecting and reviewing patient outcome data, exhibited clinical excellence skill levels, and helped patients achieve positive outcomes. We congratulate Dr. Mobley on this career milestone!


Dr. Elizabeth Mobley knew, from a very young age, that she wanted to be a surgeon and worked diligently towards that goal. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia Honors Program, completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies. From there, she completed her Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Mobley pursued her urology training at the University of Utah, where she was appointed as the Chief Urology Resident during her final year. Following her residency, she completed Fellowship training in General Urology with a focus on female pelvic floor reconstruction and Urologic Oncology at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand.

Dr. Mobley enjoys working with both male and female patients. Her main areas of interest are benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), pelvic organ prolapsekidney cancer and other benign surgical diseases of the kidney, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence in males and females, urinary stone disease, male and female hypogonadism, and vasectomy. She prides herself on being able to offer a variety of treatment options for various conditions. For example, for BPH, she is trained in a variety of techniques such as UroLift, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), Greenlight Laser therapy, button vaporization therapy, Aquablation Therapy, and robotic simple prostatectomy. She is also an expert in many robotic laparoscopic urologic procedures such as treatment of kidney cancer via radical and partial nephrectomy, robotic sacrocolpopexy for pelvic organ prolapse, robotic treatment of various types of ureteral /kidney obstruction, re-implantation of the ureter, simple prostatectomy, partial cystectomy, and other urologic conditions. She is skilled in extracorporeal (shock wave therapy), uretereoscopic, percutaneous and robotic approaches to urologic stone disease. IMPORTANT NOTE: Dr. Mobley does not do pessary fittings or changes.

Dr. Mobley has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has spoken at many meetings and educational activities. The focus of her research and publications has broadly regarded topics related to outcomes following surgical correction of Peyronie’s disease, penile length following inflatable penile prosthetic surgery, and antimicrobial use during urologic prosthetic surgery.
