As a part of the Urology Austin team, Vanessa is passionate about providing exceptional quality and compassionate care to patients dealing with various urologic conditions, while building trusting relationships with not only patients but the team at Urology Austin. She looks forward to being part of a team that treats and cares for all urologic issues in the most compassionate way and is most excited about urologic cancer care, BPH along with other urination issues, Peyronies disease, chronic and acute urinary tract infections, and kidney stones.

Vanessa earned her BSN from Villanova University and her Master’s in Nurse Practitioner studies at the University of Texas at El Paso. Vanessa Schiafone is an experienced Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a decade of healthcare expertise. Her career began as a Registered Nurse in 2014, gaining valuable experience in various ICU settings across the Austin area. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2021, Vanessa has specialized in Internal Medicine within skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation with Physical Medicine & Rehab.

Originally from the Northeast, Vanessa is a proud Philadelphia Eagles fan who now calls Texas home. Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys traveling and camping with her husband and two children in their Airstream.
