Karla Munoz is originally from Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. She emigrated to Texas at the age of 4 and has lived in Arizona for the last 13 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ (2014). Karla spent some time in pharmaceutical research prior to obtaining her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Northern Arizona University in Phoenix, AZ (2017). She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She is also a member of the American Urogynecologic Association of Physician Assistants and the Urological Association of Physician Assistants.

Karla enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking (although she is the pickiest eater her friends have ever met) and weight lifting. She has volunteered in Coahuila, Mexico in serving the underserved populations. She plans on returning in hopes of donating her time, expertise and resources in clinics or hospitals. Karla is also fluent in Spanish.
