Dr. David Freidberg received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, and completed his Urology Residency at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. Dr. Freidberg sees both male and female patients, and has special interests in general urology, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH or enlarged prostate), urinary incontinence, hypoandrogenism, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, performing vasectomies and the management of advanced prostate cancer.

Dr. David Freidberg received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, and completed his Urology Residency at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. Dr. Freidberg sees both male and female patients, and has special interests in general urology, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH or enlarged prostate), urinary incontinence, hypoandrogenism, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, performing vasectomies and the management of advanced prostate cancer.
Dr. Freidberg is now offering Aquablation for men with BPH. This FDA approved procedure uses unheated, sterile saline to precisely remove prostate tissue overgrowth.
Dr. Freidberg serves as part of Urology Austin’s Advanced Prostate Cancer Care Team along with his colleagues Dr. Richard Garza, Dr. Eric Giesler and Dr. David Phillips. This team manages patients with prostate cancer recurrence after initial local therapy such as robotic prostatectomy or radiation. Care approaches include newer medical oncolytics (Xtandi, Zytiga, Erleada, Nubeqa and Yonsa) and immunotherapies (Provenge).
