Dr. Jeffrey A. Stern is an international speaker and a leader in the field of urologic surgery. He has presented at conferences throughout the United States and in Europe. Recently, he was invited to Kyoto University in Japan as a visiting professor to lecture about the da Vinci robotic prostatectomy. The robotic prostatectomy is the most advanced treatment for prostate cancer.
During his laparoscopic fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Stern was involved in hundreds of laparoscopic procedures. His expertise is in minimally invasive surgery for prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder prolapse.
Dr. Stern attended prep-school at the prestigious Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. Following Andover, he attended college and medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
He completed his urology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he worked with leaders in the nerve-sparing technique of radical prostatectomy.
While at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Stern applied his expertise in the potency-preserving technique to robotic surgery.
Dr. Stern continues his interest in cutting-edge technology, and is also proficient in robotic surgery and minimally-invasive surgery for bladder prolapse and urinary incontinence, interstim treatment for urinary urgency and incontinence, and the GreenLight laser treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
