R. Sean Omsberg is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), who received his Bachelors and Master of Physician Assistant Studies form the University of Nebraska’s School of Medical Sciences in Omaha. He is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Prior to joining Urology Austin, Sean spent his first 8 years as a Physician Assistant practicing in CardioThoracic Surgery and the last 14 years in Urology. Before moving to Austin 5 years ago, when he joined Urology Austin, Sean practiced in Nacogdoches, Tx. He is excited to be working closely with Dr. Bryan Kansas who specializes in erectile dysfunction, low intensity shockwave therapy, low testosterone, general urology, male urinary incontinence, elevated PSA, Peyronie’s disease (penile curvature), premature ejaculation, enlarged prostate, and lnterStim (sacral nerve stimulator device for refractory overactive bladder).
Sean and his wife Lauri have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. He retired as a Major in the United States Army as an Aeromedical Physician Assistant (Flight Surgeon) with over 30 years of service. He has been deployed to Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
